ravens

ravens

A Poem by Eyudo

Raven

A bird as black as autumns night

Coming in flocks or single sight

Wings as wide as branches fray

Coming by night and coming by day

Emitting a noise so deep and loud

Strutting its feathers, overly proud

Flying about me looking for meat

But not above eating off the street

An attitude to take on anyone

Deadly in flocks, worthless to run

Larger than a cat and a wriggling tongue

Split it when young to make it talk for fun

A bird of prey and bird of wonder

It’s black only matches a storm of thunder

It is so evil and so bad

It brings and signals death

This bird, a tragedy so sad…..
