Invisible Lines

Invisible Lines

A Poem by Eyudo
"

i walked it, saw it made it, then destroyed it. believe you me.

"

I walk the line

That divides all mankind

But I don’t see

How in any way that affects me

I pace my step

Because the line is slick from tears that before were wept

And I will never take a leap

Because the way down that our thoughts have made is so deep

And at one point I may stumble

And sway forth to fall on either side

Comprehending what’s our trouble

But there are some rules that just cannot abide

The line if definitely there

And the sides clearly labeled

Between good and evil the difference is fair

But the minds comprehension is fabled

I am divided

Between what was once thought real

It’s not easy to survive it

The war that fits alls appeal

A wall is built up over the line

It follows me as I walk

They build it as I move, it comes up behind me

Never again can either sides talk

They blindly wage wars they cannot see

All feeling the betrayal

Not realizing what both sides really want and need

A peace that may never fail

The wall stands strong

Even though the line is so thin

I’ve walked on this line so long

It’s the only place I have ever been

Though the wall gets closer

I will not choose a side

It threatens to topple me over

But instead I will jump up and climb

Now I look over and underneath

To what are now such desolate streets

Though I may be up high

I still watch the events with human eyes

Destroyed by themselves

The sides are at an end

There can be no more fighting

When there are no more warriors to spend

I will never choose sides

No matter what time will bring

I will stand up on the wall

And hear each bell ring

I walk the line

Such dissatisfaction

Nowhere else will you find

Someone else looking down for extrication

Now in ruins these quarrelers stand

Still I only look upon then from above

I dare not go down there and give hand

But maybe something’s to be done when push comes to shove

I will start a society

For all the survivors

Create a place of dream so lively

Some place with refuge for sure

They shall climb up

And stand in a line with me

Reaching all the way along the wall

A sight impossible not to see

And when the society is made

And all the possible humans left are saved

We will all climb down

And tear away the wall without a sound

I walked the line

That now is being torn

The sides will merge

But still no one will mourn

The sides no longer exist

Just a distant memory

They are nothing more than a piece of haunting history

Now that someone has made us free

I can say I walked that line

Before all the wars were waged

And that when I saw all the hate

I was over raged

And this may be an end to what seems will come

But none the less the wars are not yet done

Underneath the fire of the sun

The wars are never really able to be won

I walk the line

That divides all mankind

So look and see

How much one day it will be

I walk this invisible line

It all just points to one sign

Invisible lines
