To the defenders of an undeserving countryA Story by EylonBearI wrote this for our soldiers fighting in our military. Some may not agree for why we are over there but that is no reason not to support them. There you stand still as a rock. Listening, listening to the sound of the bombs. To the exploding shrapnel, to the falling debris. All the while you know half the people of your own country don't believe in you or the soldiers at your back. You know they think less of you for your loyalty to a country that doesn't deserve it. But there are the few who understand.
I know that you stand there like a rock risking everything that is important to you because your government told you people like me were in danger.
I know that while you may second guess your leaders decision you won't hesitate because to hesitate would be my life and the life of many innocents.
That's why you stand like a rock maybe even under a ruse made by politics because you know there is always a chance. You are a solider of the United States Army, Navy, Marines, Air force and you should be respected © 2011 EylonBearAuthor's Note
