Little ThingsA Poem by Amaris GroveA love poem.Little Things 2/14/15
The things I really want to say My vocal chords just won’t convey My verbal eloquence is cursed Failing even when rehearsed
So, instead, I try to write The words that never seem quite right And attempt to guarantee That you know what you mean to me
I never thought that I would know A time unaltered by long ago I didn’t think that I could be This fortunate consistently
I love the way you look at me Like I’m the only thing you see And when you hold me close I’ve found I know I’m safe with you around
The little things you do each day Are what I constantly replay I love how we don’t need to speak To have a moment so unique
So, while I could continue on I know no words that are as strong As how I feel when I’m with you Those little things will push us through © 2015 Amaris Grove |
