Obstacle

Obstacle

A Poem by EyesIceBlood
"

This might be my favourite poem of all time (that I wrote, anyway). It's about "rebels" who don't realize they're worse than what they think they're fighting against.

"

Obstacle

You think you've suffered?

Everyone had your back covered

You had music and made amends

A literal Devil to make friends

I lived through all this following God

Just another skip, another nick in His rod

I felt so insignificant

While you were miserably magnificent

You'd get doped up and break mailboxes

I'd fix them for money to build ants sandboxes

You've never suffered until you've bled for your kin

Until you bear the harsh thanks of God right on your skin

You resisted arrest while I fought to be forgiven

You were too dumb to see the finale you were missing

And you will still be shocked in the end

When you have lived a life just playing pretend

When you learn you were a drone following another's rule

You were everything you despised, now who's the fool?
