I feel my insides

Just like the ghost

That haunts an endless night

I can't feel

I can't believe

I can't be dumb

I can't be there

I can see right through

 

I don't understand

What happened to me

Why I cannot see anymore

Everything is so vague and out of focus

In a somewhat literal sense

Just like I am a witch-hunt

that hurts a winglesss raven

 

My mother tries so hard

To make everything so easy

Just like a story

Her life was always hard

Growing up she had her books

She would hide and read them

I am her son who reads the forbidden

 

You are a kaleidoscope

Beautiful and untraceable

I know what's going on

Inside that adorable head

He wishes he didn't have to

Play pretend with her shadow

Just like an a fruitless tree

 

Just like a numb injection

Just like a beautiful swallow

Just like another reject

Just like another number

Just like induced abortion

Just like a new solution

Just like a friendly neighbour

Just like the pavement beneath her
