"

I guess if I had to say why this is a relgious poem it's from the perspective of both sinners and saints.

"

Hero

They shoved me around

Maybe I should have stayed down

I still stare my gods in the face

I can sit still and win this race

I could open the door and let in the light

Bottle it up and steal it without a fight

Sunshine begins to fade

Red becomes a muted shade

Don't forget what you were told

From the day you are born to when you are old

My fire burns brighter than most

I can illuminate the host

Clinking glasses

Time lapses

Broken ties

Little minds

Buried church

Forgotten works

Best be prepared for the worst
