Freefall

Freefall

A Poem by EyesIceBlood

A poem about myself, but what makes this one a rarity is it's (gasp!) a positive one.

"

Freefall

A shameless boy fell

Down from misery into grace

He felt like killing and wrecking

Now he sees people face to face

Caught in a blissful freefall

He thanks his Father above

He knows every emotion

He could ever dream of

How long has he been this way

Maybe all his life

But now he's caught in an upward current

And he did always hate strife

How this boy became a man

Is a long and tedious tale

How many twists and turns it took

But he knows there is still room to fail

In a comatose sleep he wakes

Eager and ready to please

He doesn't know what made him change

But he will pray for strength on his knees

He looks to the ground below

He knows he'll hit it soon again

But this time he'll be prepared

And he'll be the one smiling then
