As you may have guessed from the title, this one is about missing out on or denying the obvious and burying it with dogma.

Forgotten Lessons

Scream

Just want to let out a bit of pain

Watch me fly and crashland

Nosedive, perish, reap, sow, plea

Who's that behind you?

It's only me, your true friend

I have the power to overwhelm and destroy

Wow, I can see clearly

Looking through a telescope

Missing the constellations

Catching the flies on the lens

I've gotta go, I hope you'll understand

Through this life lesson you've learned nothing

Now go out there and take it as best you can

Won't you look at me now?
I'm everything you never feared

I can play this song by ear

I'll...help...you...now

I come from that big church down the old way

You know the place, where everyone learned to taste

A bittersweet melody of life lost and regained

And then lost yet again

Maybe someday you will remember

Until then remember me

Your true friend
