This "exercise" is surrealism at it's purest, as I just wrote down whatever came whatever came into my head. I'm amazed it turned out to be so ornate.

Exercise

Standing face to face

You're just a punk m**********r

And a contemptible waste

Ashen fields of life black and white

Twisting snakes writhe and show love

What did you say to me

Something about robbing me blind

Just another form of contradiction

An abortion for the masses

Looking for me you'll find nothing

What do you seek in me

Everything that's left

All the riches of a miser's tomb

Distorted airwaves ripping my brains apart
What else should I expect

Hypocrites realize their times are up

I feel the tingle around my throat

I sing when I'm hurt by you

I scream when I'm hurting myself

And now my eyes realize

Obviousness falters in the face of ignorance

We go up and down and out

Out for the count

Countdown to launch

I stay as solid as cement

My self crumbles but my old ways are intact

Contracting pain almost every day

You need to listen to one last song

It's about the day you were born

And the day the oceans stopped bleeding

The moon nosedived and crashed

What can I do?

I just wear this mask of roses

So I don't choke on the thorns
