Cinder

I don't even remember writing this one, but it's one of my better experimental poems.

Cinder

 

To whom can I relate

Everything I burned

Everything I take

All the feelings I spurned

I can always blaze

The rage inside me grows

I live my life in a haze

Fire and dust come to blows

I have failed too hard

These scars I have always born

This should not feel so charred

I have no friends left to mourn

Always something new to hate

Never an old impression gone

I stand in a grieving state

So much left undone

I know of another place

Deep in my mind's eye

Within this endless space

I will always try
