Bitter Joy

 

Someday you will give in and I'll try

To show right from the wrong you lived your life by

You never got the meaning in time

Now go back to your place in the line

Somebody once fell behind you

You laughed at them as they tried to pull through

Now everyone in front of you is running

Why are you not laughing, is it not funny?

Someone like you was once made

They were born to live eternally and never fade

But like you they turned their back on all that was good

You think you've got the message but you misunderstood

That all is fine when inside you are sad

But right turns to wrong whenever you're glad
