Balm in Gilead

Balm in Gilead

A Poem by EyesIceBlood
"

One of my few positive poems. Inspired by a breezy soundtrack to a PS3 game. Incidently the game sucked and writing this was the most enjoyment I got out of it.

"

Balm in Gilead

Breezes slip in and out of dreams

Pieces of thoughts pertain to means

Nobody slips by the gate unseen

They hide none of their being

Shadows of fortunes I've never wondered

Sinners and saints who together have wandered

Just how old is the timeless light

Just how low do we go when we fight

Holding hands now they skip across the field

Heaven in sky and God in the shield

All these masks that built these lies

Hands of mine control these skies

Never a wish I haven't seen

All the time dreaming in a dream
