Ashes Embrace

 

Feeling a lone

Shadow’s embrace

Forlornly watching it

Caressing my face

I should know better now

 

I can see your pretty face

In the ashes

I could watch you dance all day

Make the nightmares go away

 

I wish I could

Be in your womb

I keep waking up

Inside this tomb

Feeling my mind

About to break

I should know better now

 

I can see your pretty face

In the fire

I watch as the flames

Grow stronger and higher

There’s nothing I could do

I am sorry now

I couldn’t
