Sleep

Sleep

A Poem by Exxii ((Lauren)) Chem
"

Based off of a haiku I wrote for Pre-AP.

"
Sleep
The midnight hour is upon,
my crying is finally over.
Another day, I fought to keep what I had alive and well,
but each day I have failed.
I shudder
I cringe
I wipe my tears away,
for they must leave my face eventually.
I yearn for the cause of my tears
to leave my life,
but that will happen
...
eventually.
With my shudders,
with my shakes,
I feel less and less awake.
An ebony shroud drops down,
swathing me in peace and comfort.
My eyes begin to close,
their lids heavy,
sleep's ebony shroud engulfs.
I am free now.

Please ignore, simple stuff like grammar problems, I'm not perfect. Yeah, it may not be very good cause I'm not very good with poetry, just thought I'd give it a whack.
