SleepA Poem by Exxii ((Lauren)) ChemBased off of a haiku I wrote for Pre-AP.Sleep The midnight hour is upon, my crying is finally over. Another day, I fought to keep what I had alive and well, but each day I have failed. I shudder I cringe I wipe my tears away, for they must leave my face eventually. I yearn for the cause of my tears to leave my life, but that will happen ... eventually. With my shudders, with my shakes, I feel less and less awake. An ebony shroud drops down, swathing me in peace and comfort. My eyes begin to close, their lids heavy, sleep's ebony shroud engulfs. I am free now.
