Kill Caustic
A Chapter by Exxii ((Lauren)) Chem
An Enigma part. I'm proud of this one because I took everything that has been boiling inside of me for the past month and shoved it here. Also, I wrote it while listening to an AFI album.
Enigma was sitting in her dorm room. Bored to that forte which she called out of her skull, she sighed and blared the AFI album DECEMBERUNDERGROUND. Kill Caustic had just finished and she had moved on to Miss Murder. She hummed along to Miss Murder, it was one of her favourite songs by them, but Endlessly She Said was the one that blew all others out of the water. She could related to that song. She could relate to the feeling of waiting for a man. The man of her dreams. She wanted him and she would have waited for an eternity, she loved that boy with all of her life, but he went and broke her heart. Enigma now stood up and walked over to her dresser. She pulled out a hoodie and shoved it on over her nice tank top. Next she pulled a pair of black converse boots from under her bed. Sitting down on the bed to put the shoes on, she shivered. She hadn't been feeling well, you could say she was running a fever, but it wasn't stopping her from doing anything. As she laced the pair of boots, her stomach still felt weak. She had been feeling depressed a lot lately. She had heard that her exboyfriend was now going out with one of her good friends. She didn't care what her friend said, she didn't care what he had to say. She was worried sick about her friend. Enigma didn't want Zanietta to go through what she went through. Yeah, at first all was great...but then...depression. Stress. The works, all kicked in and beat the s**t out of that relationship. Enigma stood up and walked across her room to the window. It was dark and raining. It was dark because it was eleven at night, but the rain, that was due to the weather, of course. She sighed and let a little smile come from the corner of her cheek. Rain always made Enigma feel happy. She felt that the rain was a new awakening for the world. Grabbing her keys, Enigma opened the door and walked to her bicycle. Staring blankly into space while standing by her Schwinn, she thought to herself. Why was she in this life? What made it so that her ex boyfriend could have her friend and she couldn't have anyone? Why did it feel so cold? Enigma shook her head and stared down at her bike, the rain started to pick up and she gave up with the idea of biking. She started to walk and her face became more and more somber. Her iPod was now playing Kiss and Control. Her face was still blank and emotionless. With each step, her pace grew slower and slower. The entire time she was walking, Enigma felt as if she was going to cry, but with each pulse of bass, her tears stayed in. The past month had probably been one of the most difficult for Enigma, breaking up with her boyfriend because of complications and a "turn off". Watching him go to a friend. She may have said that she was over it, but really she wasn't. She loved him for five months. Five quick, but beautiful months. He said that he loved her, that he cared, that he respected her, but this was like having cyanide thrown in your face. You just don't do something like this if you really do care about someone. The song 37mm was starting and the rain's strength increased. A tear escaped the corner of her eye and gently streamed down her cheek. The tear rolled off her cheek and into her sweatshirt, where just like the rain droplets, sunk into the threads of her hoodie, just like every event in her life sunk into her heart and mind. Enigma was no approaching a cafe, she had never heard of this one, but it was open and empty. The song Endlessly She Said began to play. Her gentle tears grew to a stream, just like a waterfall, each beautiful system of tears fell. When the chorus hit, she collapsed to the ground and sobbed uncontrollably. Her body twisted into a grotesque lump on the ground. The song was coming to an end, her eyes closed just at the moment the song did. The rain kept pouring and her body shook as thunder rumbled across the sky.
