The Punch Line, EpiphanyA Poem by ExsanguinationTrue story, manThe saying that everything happens for a reason is only true on the most literal level It’s not a matter of some ethereal purpose But, instead, a consequence of every previous consequence--a realistic causality In the linear form of life, death, and every action in between.
Weep not for me now Everything I've ever tried to represent became wasted on my will to understand Not what I wanted but what I needed least and what I knew to mean:
Anyone
that cries out to a power greater than they could ever be
Has
trust issues worse than the roots of power
And
a conscience seeped with sin
