Magic Fingers - Book 1, Chapter 1.

A Chapter by Emmie.

Just 7:00 in the morning, Imogen was brushing her soft, silky hair. Everyone else in her mansion-like home was either still asleep or just getting up. Imogen's light blue i Pod was plugged into her i Pod dock, playing her favorite song. "..Lucifer.." Imogen mumbled the title of her favorite song to herself. Alone in her room, Imogen was used to speaking to herself in the mornings. Setting her pink hairbrush down, and picking up her eyeliner from her desk, Imogen started applying her make up. Imogen was so innocent looking, a natural beauty without her make up but she had never believed those words that had fallen from her family members soft and doll-like lips. Finishing up her make up, Imogen, already dressed nicely in a cute, blue dress with light sky blue tights underneath, stood up and turned her i Pod off. Looking into the mirror again and inspecting her make up and hair, Imogen looked fine for now and walked out into the long, dark and silent hallway, closing her bedroom door behind her. Staring at all the other doors, which were everybody else's bedrooms, it seemed that she was just the only one here. Walking down the hallway, to the kitchen, Imogen wasn't aware that Delancy, one of her first Male creations, was already awake and making a delicious breakfast for everyone. Imogen was quiet, like a cat, but quick, like a ninja. Though, Imogen was just a Dolle Human. The first Dolle. Delancy set all the plates down on the table, beside the glasses that were full of orange juice but not everybody had to drink that. The food was already set down on the table and hot enough to eat. Once done, Delancy got the silverware and placed it all down beside the plates quietly. Delancy did not hear Imogen walk into the kitchen, until she spoke. "Delancy...what a pleasant surprise.." Imogen's voice seemed friendly and kind as she sat down in her usual seat, crossing her legs and waiting for everyone else to come and sit down. Delancy chuckled, moving some hair out of his eyes and pulled out his chair, which was on Imogen's left, and sat down. "You know my interest in cooking, Miss Imogen." Delancy's voice seemed more deep and manly than Imogen's. About to protest of being called 'Miss', Imogen bit her tongue carefully as people started walking in and sitting down at their usual spots, talking amongst themselves and filling their plates with the wonderful food made by Delancy. Marissa and Marcus, the Korean twins, sat beside each other, like always. Their seats were fairly close to Imogen and Delancy's, so they filled their plates, Marissa just randomly putting foods on her plate like Marcus, and then both leaned close to Delancy, "We know you did this all just to impress Imogen, Delancy.." Marissa said, smirking. Marcus, with the exact same smirk, wiggled his eyebrows, which usually made girls, and guys, blush and giggle. Delancy glanced at Marissa and Marcus, rolling his eyes and focusing on the food, picking out the most he liked that he had cooked, then ate slowly. Imogen smiled sweetly at the twins, "..Stop teasing him.." She said, pushing her hair out of her eyes and ate some food that Delancy decided to put on her plate for her. Not to worry, Imogen loved everything Delancy cooked no matter what it was.  Marcus took a big bite of some bacon, chewed a bit and swallowed before speaking, "So, Imogen, when's the next we're going to see Helda?" He asked, raising an eyebrow and looked back down at his food, waiting for her reply. Helda, was the first female creation Imogen made, and also was, still is, Imogen's best friend. Her smile growing bigger, Imogen looked up from her food to Marcus, "We'll see her soon.. I mean, she just got married. Let's give her some space with her new husband. It's taken her a long time to be with William." She said, mentioning Helda's human boyfriend, and now husband. Marcus, sighing, missed Helda, whom to him was like an older sister. She had taken care of him when Marissa had gotten sick one week of this human flu and he wasn't able to be near her. Nobody but the family doctor, who was also a Dolle member, was able to be near Marissa and so, Helda had helped Marcus live without Marissa for a week or so. As everyone ate in silence now, Marissa, long hair in a cute side pony tail, was picking at her food quietly, looking disgusted. Marcus glanced at Marissa, looked away, then looked back. Noticing Marissa's peckishness, Marcus took a hairband from his right wrist and pulled his semi-long hair back, not taking his bangs with, and put it into a pony tail as well. After finally getting his hair nice, Marcus let it be and looked away from Marissa for a moment to take a sip of his glass of Orange juice and placed the glass back to where he had picked it up. Finally, Marcus turned to Marissa, placing his hand over hers, which wasn't the one with her fork in it, and held onto her hand, leaning close to her ear and whispered, "Is anything wrong, Marissa?"  He had whispered to only keep this from the others, which is what the twins had always done. Kept to themselves. Marissa looked up from her plate, hearing her twins' soft voice in her ear and smiled, turning to look back at him. "I'm fine, Marcus. No need to worry..just.." She had spoken aloud instead of a whisper like Marcus had done, and bit her lip carefully. As Imogen heard Marissa's loud, but sweet voice, she looked up at the twins, finishing up the food on her mouth before speaking to them. "Is everything okay with you two?" She asked, smiling at them. Delancy glanced up at Imogen, not wanting to miss her gorgeous smile. He never did, or..tried to never miss looking at her whenever she smiled. He didn't mind the twins, since Delancy usually kept to himself and stayed out of others' business, but Imogen was just naturally curious, which her father had told her before he passed away, was that she had her mothers personality and seemed to be her duplicate, but younger.  Marissa and Marcus both looked at Imogen, but Marcus just glanced quickly before looking back to Marissa. "Imogen.. I never noticed what I was putting on my plate earlier and, well.." Marissa looked down at her plate, as well as Imogen, "I accidentally put meat on it.." Marissa, obviously a vegetarian, said, chewing on her bottom lip until Marcus pinched her arm, which was what he did to stop her from biting her lip, a habit of Marissa's. Flinching as she was pinched, Marissa quickly released her bottom lip and turned to Marcus, glaring at him, "That one hurt!" She snapped, rubbing her arm with her other hand. Marcus rolled his eyes and made Marissa turn her head to look back at Imogen, who already took Marissa's plate and switched it with hers. "I already ate all my meat on my plate, so have my veggies and fruit, hm?" Marissa smiled at Imogen as Imogen smiled back. "Thanks, Imogen.. I'll be more careful next time." Marissa took her fork and wiped off the meat juice on her napkin before officially starting to eat her delicious breakfast. Imogen shook her head, and spoke with some sausage in her mouth but covered her mouth with her hand, just in case. "Don't worry about it, Rissa." Imogen started eating again herself. Marcus looked down at his food, a bit upset with himself about forgetting to stop Marissa from accidentally putting meat on her plate, which she always did. As children, Marcus and Marissa had always put the same foods on their plates but since they both were Nineteen, it was different from then and now.

Soon enough, everything quieted down as the maids arrived to clean up the place since everybody else was busy with their own stuff in life. Marcus and Marissa were in their room, Marissa styling her hair while Marcus lay on his bed reading a book, headphones in his ears as he listened to his own i Pod. Marisa was smiling in her mirror as she brushed her hair and teased it a bit also, making sure not to hurt her elf-like ears that Imogen had given the twins while creating them, to make them...Unique. The twins always were made fun of as children at the parks or beaches but it never got to them, since they both have always loved their ears. After at least a half an hour of all that, a knock was heard on their bedroom door. Marissa set her hairbrush down and stood up and walked to the door quickly, and opening it to see a familiar face which came with the name of Gabriel, whom was another Dolle and a good friend of Marcus'. They both got a long well but with a flaw. Gabriel was gay, which Imogen had made him that way when she was curious to have a Gay friend, or family member. Marcus didn't mind, though it seemed these past few days, Gabriel had been distant and more shy around Marcus. Marissa had assumed that Gabriel liked Marcus, but Marcus had pushed that off. "Hello, Marissa." Gabriel spoke, and a strong british accent had been heard from his feminine voice. "Hey, Gab." Marissa said, holding the door open for him, waiting for Marcus to look up from the book he was into, and let go of the doorhandle, and sat back down on her chair infront of her mirrior. Gabriel walked into the room right as Marcus put his book away and took his headphones out, looking up at Gabriel. "Hey Gabby." Marcus cleared his throat and sat up on his bed, patting the spot beside his bed. Nervously sitting down beside Marcus, Gabriel hid his soft skinned and flawless face behind his hair, not officially sure why he was here. Just bored, and wanted to hang out with Marcus.
They both stayed silent, until Marissa looked at them both, then getting the evil eye from Marcus. "Ah..I got things to do so..um..bye, now." She said, grabbing her purse and leaving the bedroom. Gabriel sat here awkwardly, as well as Marcus. They said nothing as the silence pierced the air they breathed that very second. Marcus decided to speak up first, but Gabriel had the same thought, "Uh-" They both started, then it became quiet once again. Marcus smiled, while Gabriel started chewing on his bottom lip softly. "Gabriel, you've been avoiding me for some odd reason.. I'd like to know why." Marcus spoke quietly, taking his hair out of the pony tail and letting it fall around his face, which made Gabriel's cheeks go a bit red. Licking his lips, Gabriel replied, "I guess I have been busy. I-I mean, helping out with some of the younger doll's and also school work." He lied. Marcus didn't seem to believe Gabriel one bit, but still went along with it. "Oh.. well in that case, alright. I can forgive you for abandoning me. Do you need anything?" Standing off his bed to stretch, Marcus' semi long hair swishing in this amazing cool way. Asians and their flawless hair, got to love it. Gabriel stood up right away as well, thinking up another lie. "O-Oh.. Just came to say hello." Gabriel smiled nervously. Marcus was playing with his hair like he really didn't care what Gabriel said, "Hm.. I need a haircut." He muttered before looking at Gabriel. "Ah, well hello then, Gabriel. Is it alright if we flea this room and go our separate ways? I'd love to find my sister. I owe some time to her since we seem to be busy with tons of things." He said and started walking for the door, opening it as Gabriel frowned, following Marcus out of the room. As Marcus closed the door behind them, he put a finger under Gabriel's chin and tilted his head up, moving closer to Gabriel's face. Lips just inches, Marcus smirked. "Next time you speak to me, tell the truth. Your a very bad liar, Gabby." He spoke in a hushed tone before pulling away from Gabriel, walking off as his hands slid in his pants pockets as he made his way down the hall, saying hello to the others in the hallway. Gabriel sighed, mumbling to himself as he clenched his fists. "Tease..." Gabriel snapped quietly but let it go as he went his own way.

In the courtyard of the Mansion, Imogen and Delancy sat down on a bench, both quiet and happy. "I think we need another member of the family." Imogen said confidently, looking up at Delancy as she sat back, resting her back on the bench. Delancy frowned, looking right back at Imogen. Of course he didn't think this was a wise idea. "Imogen, don't you think there are enough doll's living in the mansion?" Delancy said, and shook his head. Imogen carelessly gestured her hand as saying No. "Delancy, there are still enough rooms in the Mansion for at least twenty more dolls! I also ordered some mannequins a week and they arrived yesterday. What on earth will I do with them if I don't make anymore doll's? It'll also give me something to do since I don't even have a real job." Imogen explained, flipping her hair out of her face and crossing her right leg over her left. Delancy still disagreed. "I really don't think you-" "Hello lovely. And Delancy." Devinacoule sneakily interrupted, taking Imogen's hand and kissing it tenderly. As Devinacoule kissed Imogen's hand, it was obvious that she was blushing deeply. Imogen had this crush on Devinacoule, her very first male creation, and always tried her best to steal his heart, which made Delancy jealous and cranky. "Why, what a great surprise, Devinacoule." Imogen cooed, smiling stupidly. Delancy huffed and scooted over as Devinacoule took his seat, putting an arm around Imogen. Devinacoule had very complicated feelings for Imogen. He liked her enough to date her, but he also was always interested in the other ladies around the Mansion. Devinacoule could never make up his mind. As Imogen and Devinacoule flirted, Delancy couldn't take it. Standing up, jealousy burning up in his heart, Delancy sighed. "I better get going now." He muttered, walking off. Imogen had not even noticed Delancy leaving, as her eyes were glued to Devinacoule's gorgeous and lovely light brown eyes. Devinacoule smirked, knowing what he had done. It was very obvious that Delancy was crazy for Imogen, but just in case Devinacoule did make his mind up and picked Imogen, he had to keep Delancy out of the picture. "My dear Imogen, may I ask what is on your mind at this moment?" Devinacoule asked, moving some of Imogen's hair out of her face and behind her ear, kissing her forehead. Giggling cutely, Imogen's heart felt like it was melting slowly. "I, um.. I am actually thinking about starting a new doll. A female, perhaps." She said, as Devinacoule released her from his embrace but still held her hand tightly but with care. Devinacoule's smirk formed into this gorgeous smile of his, as he thought how this new female would look, and act. "What a very interesting idea, Imogen." Devinacoule said, "Maybe I shall help you with this one, instead of Delancy? I believe it is fair. He always helps you." He licked his bottom lip, excited with this new project to happen. "Oh, I'm not sure about that, Devinacoule. I mean, I wouldn't want to hurt Delancy's feelings or make him feel replaced." Imogen said, her smile melting into a little frown. Devinacoule shook his head. "I'll speak with him. We get a long fine, he'll understand." Devinacoule spoke quickly, and with a swift movement, he kissed her cheek and stood up, already walking off to wherever Delancy had gone.
Imogen watched Devinacoule, her smile dangling on her lips once again, but she still had this odd feeling in her stomach. A certain bad feeling. "I may just need to go to the bathroom.." Imogen pushed the feeling away as she sat back, enjoying the fresh air and beautiful scenery. She would leave to another destination, much like her bedroom or the library, sooner or later.
