I write out of fear,

rather than out of love,

My father had a stroke at age 36 after serious brain surgery to remove a tumor. He was left paralyzed on the right side for the remainder of his life. Yes, indeed a stroke is very serious. The words of this poem are moving as well as true. Thank you for sharing them.
