Messages on the Wind

Messages on the Wind

A Poem by ExposedSiren
"

My heart is so scattered now.

"
Today I whispered to a breeze,
"Help me Speak"
I wished to see my little one,
to hold her smiling,
To kiss her cheek,
to reassure her in her identity.
"All will be well, just keep being yourself"
I wished to see my father,
to giggle at his bad jokes,
to thank him for his hard work,
to listen to the stories he has nobody to tell.
"I promise Dad, your best is good enough."
I wished to pass through my sisters mind,
to make sure shes not stressing out too much,
to hope shes taking care of herself,
to tell her to call me anytime.
"In the end, things will work out, just have faith."
I whispered to the wind, and it caressed my cheek, wiping the tear away, taking my heart notes with it.
"I miss you so much"
This time, earlier today, I whispered a reminder to myself;

For the wind that played in my hair when I was younger, is the same wind that punished me for sneaking out at night,
the same breeze that stained my cheeks when I smiled in the brisk air,
the same gale that whipped at my clothes while I ran in the sunlight....
I whispered to my dear friend the Zephyr, and told it to remind me...
There are better things to come, as this world is a cycle, and when the breeze meets me at my back, I'll still be standing, face towards the sky.
