HaultedA Poem by ExposedSirenI forgive, but I'll never forget. No anger, no pain... Only a lesson learned. Chin up. One from the past, edited once more
Delusions are just too painful,
Like those doors I open and the dreams I see. I don't like to fall asleep, because I have the sweetest of Dreams... Full of sugar and candy and wonderful "Things" Then I wake up to this unbearable Heat, My simple reality. I Refuse... I refuse to have someone wake up that way, To wake up to this searing pain because of me... However, sometimes, Awakening will happen regardless of how tightly we hold on to fantasy... I told you then, I'll tell you now, No matter how you fight, I will not beg nor bow. You will not break me. Pain is weakness leaving the body, and whilst you may hurt me, Harm me, Sting me, Slice me... You will not kill me, You cannot defeat me. Do not fret, do not fear.. For if you ever wake up that way because of me... You will get up. You will stand up. You will face the sun, and howl to the moon, and someday, You will forget me. That is how things are supposed to be. I will learn, and I will Breathe, Peace. © 2016 ExposedSirenAuthor's Note
