A harassing experience at what is supposed to be an executive branded cosmetic salon clinic

Welcomed with hostility by the clinic manager, Ms. Kusum Singh. Experiencing obstruction, we finally met the doctor to discuss training opportunities (I'm a doctor myself).

There was a sample book of Jamuna Pai's "No one has to know" on display. Naturally, I picked it up to have a brief browse whether it was worth buying. This manager interrupted stating that this wasn't a library where one could albeit briefly read the literature for sale & inferred the accusation that I was intending on stealing it...

When I questioned what do people do in bookshops - they read a little before buying, she refused that this isn't the case. Her irrationality & paranoia began to worry me. Her domineering attitude imposing her wishes upon a client coupled along with incoherence harassed us.

Her attitude towards a qualified doctor was condescending, humiliating & shameful.

She then raised her tone & began shouting when I picked up some of the free information leaflets which explained what services they offer. As I was accompanied with another person, naturally, we picked up one of each leaflet for ourselves...

She argued that we're not allowed to take any FREE literature until after one has undergone the procedure - even though this is the whole point of these leaflets: to read BEFORE having any procedure, to gain a better understanding & make a well informed decision. How conduce...

We tried to pacify her & didn't retaliate, always reasoning with her quietly. Her voice drowned ours & filled the room.

She shouted so much that the doctor (Dr Sonali Kolhi, Dermatologist) rushed out to see what was happening, as patients complained inside about the noise & were getting disturbed. To my surprise, Dr Kolhi also sided with her, asking us to calm down & suggesting we leave.

It's odd that at one point we asked the doctor if there was an issue with glancing at the book or taking leaflets, to which she assured there wasn't. She gathered from our expression of concern that something was wrong.

Nevertheless, the fact that the doctor came out was proof in itself that the manager was creating distress for everyone...something which was thoroughly denied by her - no conscience.

Talk about colleague courtesy...when asked who's voice she (Dr Kolhi) heard, she naturally declined to comment (obviously, she'd recognise her staff's voice who she regularly works with).

Although Dr Kolhi was initially amicable to allowing me to briefly observe & potentially meet Dr Jamuna Pai (the founder & renowned celeb dermatologist), I doubt that now in light of her manager's tirade, this will even go ahead...

I did remind them that I'm a Psychiatrist, however this was met with further obnoxious comments returned by the manager that I needed the reality check. It's concerning how a narcissistic person can be allowed to work in a clinical healthcare environment.

Her ire can put patient safety & wellbeing at risk - clinically, she's in need of a mental health assessment. It could be anything serious like bipolar or a personality disorder...to mania - she was relentlessly talking!

What's worse is when others are too coward to speak up & intervene when a non-clinical member loses it + misbehaves. They're all slaves (including the doctor) to the manager...& when we enquired who we can complain to, the manager confidently said that there was no one above her! Typical

I'm sure should the founder Dr Pai ever discover this series of events & assess the situation objectively, she'd be horrified & ashamed...especially in an apparently upmarket area.

The final straw was when we raised a complaint with the HQ, however didn't receive any response - not even an acknowledgement. No wonder Ms Singh felt invincible in her intimidating actions. Sadly, the concept of assuring good customer service & offering care in a pleasant environment appears foreign to her...she has many insecurities

Their CCTV footage & our audio recording of the altercation proves what really happened...one click & it'll all be in the public domain. Why do dishonest people force the good like us to resort to such measures just to expose the truth...who actually initiated the problem first?
