Ceo email - a paradoxically bad experience

Ceo email - a paradoxically bad experience

A brief report into a freak decision made by the editor of ceoemail.com - Marcus Williamson to ban a user from using the website: all based on false allegations & suspicion

"
Many of you must have heard about or seen/visited the website "ceoemail.com" - a helpful & informative collation of the major global companies & government organisations' senior management contact details.

Yesterday I tried accessing this website to find a company's CEO (Teleperformance) to be precise. After merely clicking on 3 entries there, the website froze & suddenly the following message appeared:

" access denied - please email [email protected] for further information - thank you"

Well, I did just that. The response from the editor, Mr Marcus Williamson, evaded why I was blocked & rather probed into which country I was based in & the CEO I was looking for. Initially I didn't think much of it & responded answering his queries. Mr Williamson perhaps slightly oddly responded by saying that in order to apply for jobs at the company, please visit their website?! This was not the purpose of contacting them & making such an assumption sounded somewhat incoherent. It appears that his response was dependent on the nationality of the customer.

Replies continued until I requested my friend to find what I needed. Mr Williamson then sent a link to check on his website, by which time, my access appeared restored on a different internet connection. I contacted the ISP who suggested doing this (instead of using my mobile carrier/network).

It appears he's acting like "Big Brother" monitoring my every move & activity whilst on the website, as he demanded knowing the rationale for I checking some other companies, proceeding as far as to enumerate them! I explained that I was checking whether access was restored. How he expected me to access the link he sent after I was already blocked is beyond me.

My friend managed to check on my behalf (we all use a shared WiFi connection in the office). Mr Williamson then states that I am blocked for not waiting 24 hours. It was not explained to me that someone else cannot check either...

He then laid a trap (now looking in retrospect) for me to reveal my background working at a BPO. He falsely alleged that I own a printing business "Shree Om Printers" & that I must be using the website for commercial purposes. This is despite visiting this maybe 2-3 times a year when I have an unresolved matter with a company as a consumer, warranting escalation to senior management.

Apparently, according to him, if one is employed in BPO, they have no right to use the website to help raise a personal complaint regarding a product or service they purchased for their own purpose.

How narrow minded & discriminative. Mr Williamson appears fixated with the delusion that I am somehow misusing the website. This is ironic since I myself have contributed in the past to adding a couple of management contact details for a company on the website.

It hurts & worries me that how a supposedly good cause person can actually be so malicious towards another human being. Everyone else can visit the website...apart from me.

To add salt to the wound, I still received another email from him asking me to pay for visiting the website even though I have refrained from doing so...this is harassment. Who do I escalate this to, when the godfather himself is corrupt & misbehaves? There's no one above him...what came over him & what's happening to the world...? "Fighting injustice" with this website? At least live up to your name by doing so in practice! It's sad how the internet can be used to remotely defame & bully someone...

I guess the moral of the story is that even revered high profile figures can sometimes act irrationally & be awkward, not to mention stone-hearted. Don't believe everything (good or bad) which is reported by the media about them. A personal experience is priceless...these prominent & respected figures are not always worth looking up to until & unless you have actually personally dealt with them...to discover how exactly they are. Sadly the notion that many journalists are crafty & dishonest holds true. It is difficult to remove stigma or clear one's name from a bad image: once set subjectively by someone else. Misusing their authority...respect is earned - not bought or terrorised

Isn't it ironic that now in order to access this website, I must use something like a proxy address or VPN - which is against the T&Cs he has set...basically Mr Williamson breaks his own rules, you could say. No? He is his own demon or enemy - harsh I know, however so true in this instance. Dishonest people don't leave a choice for the honest ones out there, do they? They just compel them to follow suit
