Why medicine is practised as a trade off?

Why medicine is practised as a trade off?

Exploring the business minded attitude of many government sector doctors when treating or dealing with patients.

Even if one visits premium institutions such as AIIMS, Delhi, the mindset of doctors (the Dermatology HOD, Dr VK Sharma in this case) is appalling. Until they "get to know you personally" (where you work, your salary, designation), they are not prepared to treat you. Treatment is not dependent on genuine clinical need but more so one's socioeconomic status & how much respect they derive from the doctor. Shameful...these doctors have discarded their morals long ago! Similarly, if you ask for their introduction, they tend to spread gossip about you to everyone that you are mentally unstable...really? Apparently that's what Dr Rashmi Pillani, SR Gynaecology under Dr Dipika Deka did - once again sadly at AIIMS. Why are so many staff full of it? If they like you, they treat you...if not then get lost! Or when they openly accept bribes such as gifts or monetary incentives as Dr Kaushal K Verma did - in return for offering preferential treatment...
