A very brief outlook on the crisis of Stray dogs in India

Another day emerges in Delhi, Mumbai - almost anywhere in India. One sets out on their commute to work, school, college or a spot of shopping. Whilst doing so, we are encountered by several stray dogs. Some gnarl & or bark, others block your path or may even demand food from you. During the night they howl & disturb your sleep.

Government efforts to neuter them are futile, whilst they falsely claim that lack of dogs means more rats - to defend their failure. Whilst some may agree, there are many instances of dog attacks & people contracting rabies from infected bites. What will it take to remove these nuisance creating creatures? Littering the entrance to your home whilst feeding their newborns - carrying lice...we really do live in squalid conditions as a nation, don't we? They are an eyesore to our society

They are more of a menace than protection & pose a threat to our safety as well as wellbeing - rabies often kills! They must be removed & our waste disposal methods be improved...which is their main food source, inviting them in the first place. Only then will they not return. Those selfish people who seem to think that offering these pests food is a pious thing, think again. Tomorrow, one of these may just bite & potentially take your life away. Suddenly, your apparent act of kindness is all forgotten...and returned with your retribution, somewhat rightly deserved. Animal lovers, do us all a favour & adopt them, so that they're taken off the streets. Or else, refrain from feeding them - at least they are more likely to wonder off elsewhere in search of food to survive...logical thinking, as they are natural scavengers
