When a car crosses a red light & collides with a pedestrian crossing the road, who is at fault? Apparently, according to this driver, the pedestrian is! Sticking the middle finger up & shouting abuse whilst on his phone only added fuel to the fire...should be booked under s279 of the IPC. This was the 3rd incident (near miss) in a week on the same stretch of road! Ironically, the sign stating "accident prone area" was knocked over as well. Talk about disregard for the law! Motorcyclists insist to invade the edges of the road for pedestrians...walking on Delhi's roads is an impossible challenge at best. Why are dedicated pedestrian only pavements not demarcated with barriers, which drivers cannot abuse this way, whilst crossing the road, changing lanes...
