The word foreverA Poem by DrDIt rained this morning And droplets tap danced on the windows But now a velvet sky parasols the earth It was on days like this The sun kissing us pink and grasses Smelling like new mown hay And the entire earth becomes a time capsule Of who we once were.
The clatter of the streamlet And the trees applauding against the wind Ask about you, where you have gone And at last the full moon appears like A great white w***e urging lovers to their beds And stars lean closer, ever curious All reminding me of that moment When your mind moved back into your face And the word forever was never heard again. © 2014 DrD |
