SHARINGA Poem by DrDIt was about sharing In those days punctuated with laughter Sharing a promise and a pillow Undoubting and bedwarm secure. We shared a shadow On moon painted nights Walking through street lamp circles And finding beauty even when it hid.
It was about sharing Flying a kite from a rooftop, Making love amongst native flowers And picking grasses from your hair Milkshakes with two straws And Hagen Dazs with two spoons Your eyes, starlit and secretive On nights when we spoke with silence.
It was about sharing, Walking in twos beneath an umbrella Giving me the white side of the Oreo My handkerchief, your tear. Your clothes, my suitcase The note and key on the end table It was about sharing Even when I repeated your goodbye. © 2013 DrDReviews
