Remembering

Remembering

A Poem by DrD

Her heart was a secret garden

And the walls were very high

So it was said in something I read

In a time so long gone by

She loved flowers and midnight stars

In moments of mourning alone

No one could know her endless woe

Of losing the love she had known

She never answered a single message

So I sent prayers and every thought

Hoping she’d see what she meant to me

But it finally was all for naught

Her heart was a secret garden

And the walls were very high

But flowers soon wilt and everything built

Except love collapses and dies

Thank you, Sheena
profound and poignant. I remember the story the Secret Garden...
Every thing dies except love. Well penned. Sad but well penned.

a few ........................ Thank you ♥♥
It is terrifying to lose someone you love so dearly more than your life. I can only imagine the stages of acceptance i could go through when it happens. Painful crushing pain that covers you up in a bubble of sadness and despair. I'm back! I had fun reading your works :)

Thanks again, Tarry. I missed you.
That was beautiful. I liked (should I said liked? more like detested but really appreciated) the futility of the compassion in the face of this insurmountable barrier. Awesome piece
