A Poem by Cherry
"

.

"
A droplet,
pensive,
grips the edge
of a statuesque
green leaf.
Had it owned
a face,
it would be pallor,
and the raven's song
it heard
from its perch
would be a long
decisive note
as it fell.

Author's Note

Cherry
I tried to compare the droplet to someone clinging to life. The long note being like a heart monitor signifying death. Ravens often symbolize death.

I like this very much. To look down at a clinging drop will forever call this poem into my mind.

Thank you, and thank you for checking it out.
I really liked this poem. I found once reading your notes that I read a completely different meaning in your words, but I can now see your thoughts clearly. Beautifully written.
