As I sit...

As I sit...

A Poem by Wesley Carter

What does a cow think of a fly?
What does a mouse think of a trap?

A burden.

As I sit, feeling contempt, wondering how she feels.
She laughs, smiles, and makes me feel real.
As I sit, feeling joyous, wondering if she feels the same.
She jokes, she messes around, she frowns, and I am to blame.
As I sit, feeling disheartened, wondering why I suck.
She leaves, annoyed, and I wonder why I have no luck.
As I sit, pouring out these words, should I give up?

Put on a smile, or risk a fight.
I know in the end, it's my fault,
Act happy, or risk everything ending tonight.

Makes me wonder if it's worth it...?
Great poem. I enjoyed the rhyming scheme. :)
