Six

She couldn’t stop laughing. 

“STOP!” she giggled.

The reason she loves dancing is because five years ago I started shuffle dancing in front of her and she thought it was the coolest thing ever. In the beginning she didn’t understand how it was even possible to move like that. Now she’s better than me. 

Then a few years ago she came home and did the floss. I had never seen it before. This was the first time. And I got jealous and had to learn it. So we teach each other dance moves. We’re basically a father-daughter dance team.

Today I got in front of her and combined the two. I call it shuffle-flossing. She bursted out laughing. I think I’m the only person on the planet dancing like this. I’m an original. I’ve never seen her smile so much! 

So of course she got up and started doing it too. And she was better at it. My fame was short-lived. I even practiced it in my bedroom for a week before showing her. It was worth it. This was the best thing that happened to her today.
