The Hunter and The Beast IA Story by ExcideousA short horror story about two entities fighting each other because what they are and their merciless actions.Woods. Woods as far as one can see, can feel. Smoke. Ash. Fire. Death. A cottage in hell fire. Screams that sounds like they came from the darkest, deepest pits of pain and sorrow. The forest is the only one who listens, then swallows the screams. Silence. Silence that feels like an eternity. Time go's by. Time go's by only for the burnt, black smug in the deep, dark, silent forest. The fire of black and the screams of pain are gone. Left is the black, brittle burnt wood. All in the black cottage is dust. Sweep away by the forests voice. Wind. Time. Peace. Time should bring peace. Should. Doesn't. The forest may forget, may forgive. It may let time clean up the slaughter dust and the burnt wood. A Man steps out of the forest's limbs. Hat with a slash in it. Blood dripping from black fur on his belt. A grim turn into a frown. Knees hitting the black ash. Rain hitting the floor. The clouds are white and fluff. Howls of anger and lost. Rain. The man stands up and went back into the forests forgiving arms. Left at the black ash is three wooden sticks sticking out the ground. A markings on a tree, in it are names. Red eyes. deer grazing, living. Dying. Red coated fangs. Sounds of flesh ripping and taring. Bones cracking. The rest given to the forest. The Huge, muscular, black fur Beast grunts and huffs as it walks. The forest watches as the Beast walk, holding two slaughtered in one hand, and in the other a small slaughtered animal. The Beast leaves the forests watch and meets a deep, dark cave. The Beast roars to the cave. Silence. It roars even louder. Silence. It drops what it holds and roars with a tone like mercy. Silence. It hurls itself into the cave. Roaring. Roaring of pain and of anger. Sounds of pounding echoing from the cave. A bloody body, rip away of its skin, is through out of the cave. The Beast walks out, eyes full of tears. The bloody body is bigger then the Beast itself. The Beast takes one last look at the bloody body, and hurls itself into the forest, roaring. © 2016 ExcideousAuthor's Note
