Firefly Dust

A Poem by Red Brick Keshner

`
Blue skies over horizon again
child arrives, jumps about
looking pretty and tall
the only sure part-- that dust
flying near silence
where fireflies wait

now, yellow dust fades
into green beginnings
then fireflies once more

Sounds like a great day at the beach, my two year old grandson would love the fireflies as he is obsessed with bumble bees at the moment lol.

Could be read as live as I have noted your new status a first time dad, is this the wait the arrival and the calmness before the next stage, the toddler years lol, which ever I loved it's sweetness and brevity, keep em' coming

I love poems that capture minutiae of the day. Nicely written once again
