wind chimes

wind chimes

A Poem by Red Brick Keshner

`

small sounds
twinkle in the ear
a velvet touch of
invisible fingers quietly
mingle on a weathered cheek
with sullen humid arvo sweat

bleating echoes in the wind
desiccated foliage rustles
as creaking floorboards
whisper willowed memories --
childhood's laughter rings
clarion of tomorrow fades

I absolutely love this poem. ...whispered willpower memories... dance in the wind to wind chimes singing.

very vivid and descriptive! I enjoyed the picture this short poem painted in my head, nostalgic and very peaceful, and with the idle sound of the wind chime against the wind and the dried leaves on the ground, it is perfect!
