in vino veritas

in vino veritas

A Poem by Red Brick Keshner

These words pour forth,
fluid as cheap wine,
vividly dressed,
like any branded vintage.

Gentle on tired pockets,
they dull the mind’s edge;
after a few goblets,
they all blend into one.

Hard to write sometimes. Poor man or poor woman words. Still can be worthwhile my dear friend. I loved how you used the language. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

There appears something could be had from ‘cheapness…’ but that’s another story/poem!
Yes, our words can be "gentle on tired pockets"---
but will they age well?

nicely done, Freds...such concise language here...speaks volumes.

your title reminded me of a scene in "Tombstone" with Johnny Ringo and Doc Holiday.
