A Poem by Red Brick Keshner

A number's just a simple sign,
Yet deeper meanings intertwine.
Like scars that tell a tale,
Each figure's more than pale-
-A life lived in each line, so divine!

Seems like forever since I have read any of your work... I have been away for such a long time due to my new knee...and life... I really enjoyed your poem as I certainly relate to it. Now in Spain all my numbers have changed..not just my phone number but my new passport, residence, etc... Yes, we are numbers...Even going back to elementary school! Where did we sit... first row...first seat...so number one... Really made me think of all the numbers and then when we are gone the saying is (I think) his number was up...
Lisa, still in Spain...

A old face. I believe is beautiful my dear friend. I liked how you used words to describe the lines on our faces. Thank you dear poet for sharing the outstanding poetry.

I guess when I was in college I was just a simple sign.
Back then, we felt like a number with us just being a draft number or a social security number.
Where did our names go?
We were lives...people, not numbers.
