be-lightedly

be-lightedly

A Poem by Red Brick Keshner

being an unlit candle
an unlit match stick
will surely not suffice
neither the twain shall meet
unless you strike one
the other remains and
unless the lit shall kiss it
the other still abides

I love the hidden meaning contained in most all of your poems. How many relationships, too shy to reach out to, could have been and burned brightly. How many that were reached out to with courage were lit and do burn bright. It is hard to strike a candle so as the match I can not wait for the other to approach me I have to take the initiative if I want it to be lit. As usual very well done my friend.
