What was done can not be taken back reflection leads to regret by reliving the event on play but tuning it out by muting it and in this flickering screen sleep. A lot in such few words. Your pieces are always packed with meaning and after even further meaning comes through as they work on the mind.

Happy that these are given to extension, expansion and connection- kind of like Lego building blocks.. read more

You really captured that feeling of regret well. I especially like the two final sentences, the repetition of playing and rewinding that one scene that we wish we could redirect with a new script. Thanks for an insightful poem! :)

I agree with the logic of the words my dear friend. If we stay quiet, if we allow the wrong things to be done. We are wrong also. Powerful and worthwhile dance of words and thoughts.

I agree my dear friend. We must set the example. You are welcome.
Ahh people like this can be so hard to have in your life and it's rarely as easy as just being able to cut them out. I don't walk around expecting to be a main character in everyone else's story but it's always a little disheartening when you find out that you don't even rank with someone you care about. This was emotional in a very subdued kind of straight forward way and I kind of liked that. It's like the unemotional version of emotional.
