The black rose. I never gave. The black rose symbols death or dead end. They are beautiful, the black rose. I want to grow black roses in my garden. I have the English red and white. Hello dear Frederick. I did enjoy the poetry.

The black rose incredible beauty also the name of a book I think. I would like to see a blue rose like the Himalayas blue poppy. Now that would be a treat. Not the type of rose for valentines unless you are into Goth. Nice writing.

Oh yes, the blue rose. Now that I have advanced in years and a bit more in understanding as a result of having lived thus far, perhaps my appreciation of the blue rose would be more in keeping. And yes, Andrew, I believe there is a book of that title by Tom Costain.

Yup! They are quite stunning. The black rose here was employed as a symbol which the originating author intended. Reminds me of Maleficent which humanised the character of the infamous wicked queen mother. lol.
