I like the usage of night dawning, it can be very true in parts of Tokyo. (The city is vast, ie. Shinjuku vs. Nakano) As if as the sun sets, the city's lights rise. Tokyo is one of those places where it can be stony silent, in a small alleyway leading to some little cloistered grove, and you but turn a corner, and the light shines down, obstructed by concrete rather than trees, and you feel almost like you've been yanked into another world.

this was almost like watching a movie in four lines.
the credits so much longer than the film...
we often go to sleep with sorrow, but many times in the morning as the light comes through the shades we see with different eyes and heart...and we know we have made it through another night.

Thats an interesting piece, that I had to think about. Never having been to Tokyo, I can only imagine that perhaps like all cities, Tokyo is one filled with light and brightness at night so we are unaware of our sorrow when we are in that atmosphere. But it makes it self visible if we indulge in habits that remind us of our sorrow, maybe like drinking. But when we go home or somewhere away from the city, night eventually dawns and our sorrow becomes clear. That's just my little interpretation of your poem, and I'm glad I read this, it made my mind wander! Thanks for sharing!!
