reads like my winter mornings
no sake but coffee just because i like it
snowflakes are one thing viewed through the window and another being out there amongst the flutter
my stove is lit 3-4 months crackling
and of course there is a smoky haze
it's how we roll! HA!

powerful write using easy words to express warmth

Nothing like a good cup of coffee in the morning!

I agree. Now I am limited. I found a good replacement. Seven mushroom and taste like coffee.
A setting of warmth indicates external cold. The comfort of a fire matched with snow is such a traditional dichotomy gives, itself, a sense of comfort. The sake relaxes the whole situation. Such a nice picture.

External and internal warmth do go well together on occasion!
Thanks Soren.
This sounds like a chilly evening where it freezes outside, the fire is lit and people are drinking hot chocolate. It sounds like they are camping. This was nicely penned!

My pleasure
Nothing like the warmth of a fire when the temperature drops. This Haiku brings some sharp imagery into focus. An out of doors scenario, snow beginning to fall, a person chilled to the bone, in need of a hot drink and waiting for that fire to burst into flame. Heard the crackles and the smoke got in my eyes. Exceptionally well done Frederick.
