Beginnings, Endings and Other Types of Insanity

Beginnings, Endings and Other Types of Insanity

A Poem by John Doe

Magazines emptying on innocent bystanders.
Bystander on the outside of life.
Life wasted on the pursuit of something that doesn't exist.
Existence wasted on love.
Love my injuries as much as myself.
Me, on a sidewalk in the middle of nowhere.
Nowhere do I see the heart you describe.
Described the home-coming queen in a crown of thorns.
Thorns in her side.
Aside from saving the little girls in the crowd.
Crowded hallways and stairwells.
Stare at the prettiest one.
One day in the rain.
Reign like a murderer in silk.
Sulking shades of makeup draining the light from your eyes.
