"In My Twenties"

"In My Twenties"

A Poem by Ewen A Morrison
"

Ewen Morrison and his dear friend, Neil Reid, have known each other for longer than can be remembered! Their friendship is extraordinarily deep and strong! Shared humour & professions, also.

"

, "In My Twenties"

Aye, right, Neil (in your mind), my friend,

Your imagination, or DREAMING; odd trend

I have known you, Neil, both man and a boy

You the man - I had, more growth to enjoy?

In later years, meeting time and time again

Sharing similar interests --- without refrain

ADI we qualified as, back then & practising

Eventually, our retirement ~ be interesting!

Were 'we', and we're still 'twin-like' souls

Different times, and similar people's goals.

"Buidheachas don threastal!"/'Thank goodness!

Our languages combined were always good thus.
