A Poem, regarding my own Poetry Reading Group: 'P.R.G.'

Poetry Reading Group: formed by poet E.A.M.

Intensely devoted to his poetry compendium! 

Arts are many, including words which rhyme,

when stanzas accumulate, poetry, sometime?

Have regularly practised in youth & maturity, 

drafting, and editing... one and/or the other,

similar entities, just like a sister and brother.

Ultimately, limericks... otherwise the other?

The final stanzas can conclude any message,

maybe inspirational, perhaps will discourage? 

Down, or up? Someone's spirit... maybe drifted.

Whichever results: spirit is Rhymingly gifted!

Well done Ewen, for this tightly constructed poem about poetry. I live across in Fife and also go along to a writing group. I've managed some poetry (when inspired) but I enjoy short stories more.

P.S. I'm reviewing most of what I've posted here, and the most surprising thing is: just how much of this I've forgotten about! That includes the related reviews, of course! ~ I'm now determined to pay close and active attention... time will tell, in due course!
