Roderick's Nuos

Roderick's Nuos

A Poem by Ewen A Morrison
"

Mr Roderick Morrison had Gaelic as his native language, and the combinations of peacefulness and the honourable determinations of our Hebridean people!

"

He never mentioned money,

Looking back seems funny.

'Funny' odd, mean to say;

Just wasn't made that way!

We all fret much, today,

Counting, until 'payday'.

Possess all...not hard -

Slap-all on 'credit-card'!

Credit's, good 'n' well,

But, can lead to hell;

We enjoy it " as we can.

Until it all hits the fan!

Dad's right, & why not?

Don't spend, if 'not-got'

He'd never said as much,

But had lived life as such!
