A Poem by Ewen A Morrison
"

Home-task poem (fun about 'having-fun')

"

We’ve blocks, blocks’ve got,

plenty there, we’ll use the lot.

Mortar mix is as we’ll need;

with work we’ll do the deed.

Retain-wall round 'Sward',

doing this won’t be hard...

soil level: workshop base;

a handy scheme, any case.

Making the 'shop from wood,

she’ll be smart, will be good.

Plenty space and lots of glass;

home-made, but shop'll pass.

It’s a place where we’ll toil;

but including: 'Paint' in oil...

homely jobs we will do;

painting joy, to have too.

Act of art, in some way -

toilsome work, they say...

but to the artist it’s bliss;

the pastime not to miss!
