Dylan's Helmet

A Poem by Ewen A Morrison

Our 'wee-Dylan' is our big Dylan now...we'll try and keep up with you young man!

"

Dylan's Helmet

Our wee Dylan, now big Grandson-teen,

learning to drive cars, with mini-bike too...

aiming for 'keenest motorist' one has seen;

helping - both vehicles, is what we'll do.

Grandfather is 'GP' to him, since young -

a motorcyclist himself, ex DSA ADI...

was professional, not working 'for a song';

whatever aid may give; he really must try!

Offered Mum old '125' " “buying other”-

until our boy gets under-way-2Wheels...

once accustomed - then 'big-brother' ~

experience will then guide what 'feels'.

Shall more involved and mentor in time -

Honda VFR 800 and myself will join-in...

combined experience/practice will be fine;

the delight and pleasure gaining, to win!

Our land and it's roads - 'Biking-Heaven' -

know her as Scotland, land we all love...

to and fro/up and down ride, not even;

free 'n' easy " like an unfettered dove.

Licence costs, moving: free of charge -

experience and revel, free riding soon...

maintenance effort: 'good-by-and-large';

Motorcycling is more blessing than 'boon'!

Ride-easy...big boy ~ 'GP' x
