Ginger/John

Ginger/John

A Poem by Ewen A Morrison
"

John is a dear friend and used to be a workmate, long before I qualified as an ADI...happy times 'n' years!

"

C-Shift's

John said: “half the lies I tell aren't true!”:

we worked with Hughie, Alginate factory...

Maybe 'Ginger', had convinced 'many-a-few'.

Our Hughie, we adored there, me and he!

His motto " mark on dead-John's stone ~

Can't do that deed? Will compose one!

When Mr. Campbell passed on from his life,

Days are numbered, as we all should know!

Hugh, destined to accompany 'passed' wife;

There was not a better place: "where to go"?

She kept him on the straight and narrow:

Lovingly guiding: 'dearly-beloved barrow'!

Happily together. He did leave us as well:

Each will bask in their shared adoration...

Content in 'Afterlife', and who could tell?

Bar missing finger, all was 'elaboration'!

Thanks to our 'C-shift' schooling/pastime,

Enabled us all to 'get-on there, just fine'!

With present stage, must fend/foresee:

Work/friends progress as all will & must!

Whatever our income, pleasure may be?

Praying that future is true, and as just!

Cheers,

E.A.M. x
