"Lonesome Walk"

"Lonesome Walk"

A Poem by Chris
"

Something that came into my head while I was walking to the park.

"
The long walk to the park alone
Makes me think of all the times
We had together. I cry
All the way but smile while
The tears trickle down my cheek
From the memories I have with you.
Waking up to see your smiling face,
Running my fingers through your
Tangled up hair, kissing your
Cheek and saying "good morning
My angel."
How I miss those days and nights
Of being with you. And oh
How I want them back.
I miss you and the times
We had, and I know
We will get them back.

The regular heartache after a breakup, written in fascinating words.
This poem is plagued by cliche` but you make it good.
Every individual knows the loneliness to this feeling, whether it's a relationship, or simply someone that was once there, that isn't.
This was very good.

On the critiquing side,
I'd say that you need a stronger vocab.

But all in all,
This was a good write.

Thank you.

Thanks for the words, Agnes, it does help.
And yes, haha, I know I could use a stronger vocab, i'm just a simple poet, =).
